My life after rebonding

Rebonding. If you are reading this and you are from the Philippines, then I am 100% sure you know what I am talking about.

I had my 1st rebonding experience back in 2004 (I think) when it was very expensive and very popular. From then on, I had to go back to the salon to have my regrowth rebonded.. and that went on for yeaaaaaaars (2012).

Then I realized,  will I keep my hair rebonded every time it has hair regrowing from my scalp FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE?? All those money wasted and hours spent in the salon.

I mean, yeah, it looks "perfect". Pin straight hair, manageable,  always in place, you look lije those asian chick in that hair shampoo commercial or that actress from that show.

But you have to realize to that those people have their glamor team who fixes their hair everyday.

Hey dolls! I am back for another heatless tutorial ;) I've been doing this to my hair for about 2 months now and I am loving it since it is SO EASY and very practical since most of us girls don't really have time in the morning to get our hair done and we always keep in mind the commute we go through going to work. Since I just started blogging, this is my first "tag" ♥ here it goes!

Greed: What’s your most expensive beauty item?

Hmm, I think it would be the urban decay 15 anniversary palette, but it was a gift from my sister :p I'd rather spend my money on cheap but good quality things than on 1 expensive product (except for Argan oil, those stuff are expensive!)

Wrath: What item do you have a strong love/hate relationship with?

There's this product I bought online from an Instagram store diybeautyshop, it's a big jar of Skala™ Moroccan Argan Oil hair treatment. It costs P650 and it's a 1000g jar. Their feedbacks are 100% positives but for me I have a love and hate relationship with it. Don't get me wrong, I love the product!! It smells soooo goood and it makes your hair super soft after you use it. But in my case, it makes the ends of my hair looks frizzy.. just the ends. I don't know why.. but it does make my hair soft and tangle free but my ends are ugly :( unlike from my usual conditioner, my ends are fine. Maybe it's just my hair hahaha! I use the Skala once a week for treatment purposes. I might try another variety of the Skala.. Maybe the Coconut oil one :)

The Azure Salon Experience - Red Ombre

My friend Eka and I were planning to give our hair a makeover and we decided to get an ombre type of haircolor. So we browsed through some group buying sites and found a promo in Azure Salon. We bought the one that has 1 Base color and 1 Ombre color in the package ;)

Nail bites : J.Co's Berry Spears inspired nails

Hey everyone ;) here's an easy nail art tutorial for ya! I did a "candy spun" technique in this one.

Okay. If you're from the Philippines, I'm sure you are very much aware of the craze over J.Co's donuts.  Like people would stand in line for minutes or even hours! Just to bring home a box of  goodie donuts.

They have a wide variety of flavors and what really caught my attention is the "Berry Spears" (the name of their donuts are pretty funny :p)

I wrote this way back then when I felt I was in the "Friendzone" LOL (arte :p).
It's about hiding and lying about your feelings to keep the friendship because you don't want the person to walk away and have that awkward relationship :)

Hair care products I currently use

Hey y'all!

This is a long one. (That's what she said :p)

Anywaaay, here's a little background story about my hair:

Here in the Philippines, most people would like to have super straight hair. A girl or a boy or anywhere inbetween, would go to a salon and have their hair rebonded. 

Basically, "rebonding" is having your hair straightened permanently. Like stick straight hair. When your roots grow out, you would have the treatment done AGAIN because your natural hair is showing. If you have curly or wavy hair like mine, then you would have wavy hair at the top and straight hair midway and all the way down.

So I vowed to (try to) NEVER have my hair rebonded ever again! And to love my natural hair ;) (btw rebonding costs around 1000 to 4000 Php..so yea I've been having the treatment for about 8 years. Imagine the money I paid just to have straight hair.)

Instead of spending big money in the salon for harmful hair treatments, I have been searching beauty stores for effective hair care stuff and reading/watching alot about DIY hair treatments :)

Moving on to the products!!

Shampoo

What I like about this shampoo is that it is Sulfate free. It doesnt give you that super bubbly foam when you lather but it doesn't make your hair dry and lose its natural oils. It costs 449 Php and I bought it at Landmark Makati. (Which happens to be the argan oil heaven, lots of argan oil stuff!)

Conditioner

By far, the BEST conditioner I know and use. Period.

Oils

Since I have treated hair, it tends to get dry and frizzy. Here are some oils I use to prevent that from happening :)

I. AM. IN LOVE.  WITH. THIS.

It smells good, makes your hair shiny, doesn't leave an oily yucky feel to your hair, makes it tangle free, not frizzy, etc. It's like a miracle for your hair. (It does say miracle in the bottle. Lol.) It's around 500 Php and it is super worth it.

For the longest time I've been super curious about this product until one day I decided to try it. I bought the one that says it has moroccan argan oil (of course) and this is around 50 Php.

Surprisingly,  it is as good as the organix argan oil! It smells really good and makes your hair soft and no oily feeling too! Will definitely buy another pack. It is available at Watsons and also at 711 (how convenient! Haha!)

There you have it, my current hair products I use 💜 I will definitely post more hair topics like my hair care routine, my current hair situation, my diy hair treatment, etc...

Okay, I admit I do alot of nail art with just the design and no base. It's because I find it easier and more fun. Easier to clean up too! You also don't have to worry about chipping or perfect nails ;)

Nails for the New Year!

I know it's a little late, but here are my nails for the new year!

It looks a little red cause I "cleaned" my nails.. but the colors still pop!

I wanted to do something that is similar to a firework and hopefully (and it looks like) I have achieved it.

Lately I have been loving nail arts that look like paintings ;) for me they are easier to do.. I mean, they dont have to be perfect!

Hopefully this inspires you and for you to do it yourself. When I was doing this I couldn't stop myself from singing "Firework" by Katy Perry ;)
